23/03/2017

Microsoft partner conference, Directions ASIA 2017, Bangkok

Not only the weather in Bangkok is hot! We also have some pretty hot news from Microsoft about Dynamics 365 and Dynamics NAV 2017.

Here are few facts straight from Microsoft Dynamics NAV partner event in Bangkok:

  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 financials will have the same functionality as Microsoft Dynamics NAV on-premise. Before there were some talks that Dynamics 365 financials (previously know by the name “Project Madeira”) will have some functional limitations.
  • Dynamics 365 will be adaptable to a specific client needs, but only trough extensions.
  • Soon Dynamics 365 will be released on W1 version. Exact release date is not set. But Microsoft expects it to be by the end of the year. So there will be some lucky countries that will be able to get this product.
  • For solution development there will be available extra tools like visual studio and design configurator to make system more attractive and easy-to-use.

More great news from Microsoft and Elva DMS to come, so stay tuned.
